Josh instigates all GG fans to join the discussions about the show on NY Magazine’s website. One of the topics there is “Will Blair and Chuck Ever Make It Work?”. As, I said on several occasions, I don’t go to boards to talk about GG because I think everyone is allowed to like who/what he/shs wants. But that doesn’t mean I have to approve. So,I stay away because I don’t want to get in a fight with Dair fans for eg.
But this discussion is so dumb that I just can’t think I’ll be able to stay away. The comments are so moronic and I’m starting to think that the people that comment never watched GG in their lives or that they don’t even ship CB.
1. Chair fans are trashed. Of course not in so many words; but most commenters imply that CB fans are crazy.
2. The general idea of the discussion is that CB should not be a couple. Not ever or not till the end of the show.
Now, I’m not saying others don’t have the right to state their opinion, I’m just saying… Where the F are all the CB fans? I think most of them were scared by the comments trashing the CB fanbase or/and the couple. Kittens, don’t be scared. Remember when we made the rules? lol Well, it’s true, Chair fans were the majority. And I think we still are. So, if you’re bothered, like I was, by the comments, go and leave your own comment. And one more thing. Someone said something like “happy couples make for bad tv. CB should get married at the end of the series.” This is if not the worst CB fan comment, one of the worst. It’s obvious to me that bad WRITING makes for bad tv. Why do most people want to see happy Chair only in the end? Where did your passion go? A wedding should NOT be the end, it should be the beginning. Of course I want to see a Chuck&Blair wedding, duh. But I also want to see a CB marriage, I want to see them act like a married couple, have children, etc. And bbs, it’s possible to have all this…. as long as there are talented writers involved.
And I have one thing to say to all non Chair fans out there. You better pray bitches, you better pray for CB to be endgame, to have scenes together or/and to be a couple again because they are the only ones that can save Gossip Girl. Just look at the ratings, my colleague made a post about the danger GG is in.

chuck and blair the perfect pair 
#1 CHAIR FAN RIGHT HERE!!! I’m still pissed off at the writers for breaking up Chair in the first place. I also hate all those fans that were complaining at the beginning of season 3 about Chair being boring (WRONG) and then completely turned around and got angry at the writers for breaking them up. Make up your minds already!!! Anyway, I totally agree with you about seeing Chuck and Blair married and with kids… hopefully Gossip Girl won’t be cancelled till then!

I completely agree. I didn’t find Chuck and Blair boring at all. I think their relationship was new and I think a lot of people had expectations of what Chuck and Blair’s relationship would be like and that’s where people got it wrong. I loved their relationship but I felt like sometimes they lived in fantasy movie world and I think Blair still sometimes lives in that world (perfect example the first two episodes of this season). I think once they get past that/forgive/learn that not everything is going to go the way they think they’ll be able to get back together.
As far as gossip girl being cancelled…I think the show pulls out good WTF moments that will bring people back in to see what’s going to happen.
CHAIR WILL LIVE FOREVER. How can the GG fanbase not know that if not for us, GG would have been gone in Season 2. I just feel like the writers don’t give sh*t about us. I’m enraged by the fact that they’ll probably (OMG, hope not!) do DAIR this season. If they actually dare to DAIR, I’ll personally start the campaign to cancel the show. I want CB to be a couple, and not just the couple they were in Season 3. I want them to be a matured couple. Their train station convo justifies the fact that THEY ARE THE SHOW AND WE ARE THE ONLY AUDIENCE. CHAIR FANS FTW! FAITH, MY DARLINGS. FAITH.

I agree with you!!! CB don’t always have to fight ,writers should make them a married couple and deal with reallife and their children.İt will add lots of new dynamic to the show and will sure be interesting.Marriage of CB won’t be the end but it will sure lead to a new beginning.How far could the writers push this love hate realationship between Chuck and Blair??? Sure a marriage will be a clean slate for the show and for CB who obviously drive the show.
And We really have to keep tweeting Josh that the most loved couple on the show is CB.People are watching for them but not for the others.Because me and my friends don’t and I guess most people feel the same as me other than the insane Dair fans who are only trying to be different by shipping them.Because
You are sooo right! I mean….if CB marry just in the end…we will never know if really worked right? We have to see them take this relationship to the next level and see how they will deal with it! I think it would be awesome!
I tried posting on NYmag, but I couldn’t make an account. So, just for fun – here’s my take:
I could make an entire, long list of people who, even though we’ve been put through some really messed up things, still ship Chair and have complete faith in them. And that’s just the girls I know personally. There are soooo many C/B fans out there that don’t know about this “discussion” here or are afraid to comment. Why, I don’t know. But it’s surely true!
Chuck and Blair are one of the few couples who are actually epic. Personally, they are and will always be my favorite TV couple ever. I feel so strongly about them and every time I see them together on screen(good interaction or bad), my heart skips a beat.
I think the writers aren’t doing all of this C/B drama just for kicks. I think and hope with my entire heart, that it’s just to show their long journey to show how amazing and perfect Chuck and Blair are for each other.
Blair has forgiven Chuck for a lot, but Chuck has also grown into someone we would have never been if it weren’t for Blair. He said “ILY”, for example! He halped Blair get into Colombia, for another example!
Finally, for those of you who think Chair aren’t loved anymore, go to YouTube, type in Chuck and Blair and you’ll see how wrong you are. The videos and comments and support is so wonderful to see. Speaking from a Chair fan’s point of view here. 🙂 I respect that everyone has their own opinion and I’m not telling everyone to support Chuck/Blair, but saying they aren’t what they once were is something I don’t agree. They are meant to be – deep down, everybody knows it.
As upset as I have gotten with the writers from time to time, I thank them for creating C/B. I really, truly thank them. And now, I beg them to finally, when the time is right, let C/B have their peace and their love – TOGETHER.

Look, I dont usually comment on blogs and stuff, but I just HAD to say something here: I toooottaally agree with the post. Chair is the only thing that keeps GG alive… I still have faith, cause after all, Eva IS going home next episode, so, I still believe. And I also believe that people who DONT ship Chair should NOT be in a blog called CHUCK AND BLAIR THE PERFECT PAIR !!!! PLEASE ! thats just nuts! You dont ship CB, you DON’T go to a blog that ship CB!! Find your own blog, for F*ck sakes…
But anyway, I digress… Talking ’bout Chair marriage, I also agree with what the post says… Good TV is made by good writers! They could do a CB wedding (and marriage, may I add) and still be totally GG and Chair…
As I said earlier, I still have faith and believe that after the hole “Eva Debacle” (cause we KNOW that thats how they’re gonna call it in a few episodes), Chair will came back strong, and maybe, who knows, we can still have a proposal this season?
Let’s hit the non-C/B-ers with something: love is messy, and screwed up, and Chair embody this to the nth degree. They lived in a dreamworld in season three because, when you think about it, Blair’s only real relationship experience was with Nate and Chuck doesn’t have any at all! They lost Chuck and Blair by trying to be Chair too hard, and sure when they pulled back there were blood and guts everywhere. However, they’re relatable; Serena’s perfect boobs and laissez-faire approach to life will never be as accessible as Blair’s insecurity and snark.
And ‘I’m Chuck Bass’ is epic FOR A REASON.
OMGGGSHHH! seriously!!!! chuck and blair HAVEEE to stay together NO MATTER WHAT!!! DO YOU SEE THE WAY THEY LOOK AT EACH OTHER WHEN THEY SEE EACH OTHER?!!?!?!? its meant to be that way!!! HAHAHA its TRUEEE! urghhh. When the season ends they HAVE to get married and at least show blair having a baby with chuck beside her and NO FIGHTING! NO MORE CHUCK SCREWING UP! every time they have a chance to say i love you to each other and not fight anymore they fight ALL the time its getting annoying! THEY SHOULD BE TOGETHER FOREVER! and leighton and Ed in real life definitely!

Im am PRAYING that they get back together. This whole Dan/Blair thing is really stupid, i mean where did that even come from? Its like after all these seasons they can just put them together, Sorry GG writers but that was a BAD idea. I do think that Blair and Chuck will get back together they just need to find them selves and if being with other people is what it takes then i guess im going to have to withstand it for a little while ( LITTLE being the emphasis ) the writers know that MOST of us ship Chair so thats why they get them together, break them up and also why we had to wait a long time before they got together in the first place. When they have a couple like that in a show they want to work with it for a long time, by doing this they are making us obsess over if they will ever get together again and continue to watch every week witch is what they want ( even though i would watch either way )You said something about people not wanting them to get married till the end and i -like you- want to get married before then even though sadly, it might not happen. Okay im done my rant 🙂
I’m watching GG on netflix and I’m crying because I just finished season 3. Chuck gets better.. right?!?!?!?
And B gets upset that Chuck gets hurt and they get back together RIGHT???!!!!
Chuck definitely doesn’t die, but the ‘get together’ part hasn’t happened in a DEFINITIVE way where are we know in S5 yet
