6.09 The Revengers – SYNOPSIS

MISDEEDS OF THE PAST — After a run-in with an increasingly paranoid Bart (guest star Robert John Burke), Blair (Leighton Meester) grows alarmingly concerned for Chuck’s (Ed Westwick) safety. However, feeling confident that his father will never hurt him, Chuck makes a deal that could change his life. Wanting to make things better for Chuck, Blair devises a plan with the help of Serena (Blake Lively), Georgina (guest star Michelle Trachtenberg) and Sage (guest star Sofia Black-D’Elia) to try and get what they need out of Bart. Meanwhile, Nate’s (Chace Crawford) financial dilemma finally lands him in a place that he never thought he would be. Penn Badgley and Kelly Rutherford also star. Patrick Norris directed the episode written by Sara Goodman and Natalie Krinsky.

About purplebass

hey, you! Thank you for stopping by. I'm Tweety, and I am a girl who loves writing, reading, and watching stuff on TV and write reviews about it. I currently study languages (English and Spanish) @ University here where I live in Italy. I dream to become a teacher or something more impossible, like a writer. For the moment I only write stories on my laptop and review a lot of books. Speaking of which, I'm really into YA despite I am not a teenager anymore, and if you have suggestions, I am always open to hear your book advice! :D

    >.< the end of gossip girl is near

  2. Laura says:

right now i really want it to end because i’m tired of watching the writers messing cb up..if the show lasted more, they’d found another way to keep them apart..so it’s for the best

  3. belt_loops. says:

is it just me or is there someone else missing a storyline about who gossip girl really is? idk but i’ve hoped for that storyline since we’ve almost reached the end of the series? i’m tired right now about all that stuff thats [not[ happening and i really don’t want it end it like “oh, last but not least, lets show our viewers the real gossip girl like 2 minutes before the series is over for good!”

    • Je t'adore says:

We all know the biggest secret of this show is who Gossip Girl is and we will find out in the last ep. That’s why we don’t know anything about this, they’re really keeping this one secret. hahaha

  4. strawberriesandtiaras says:

the writers propably didn´t even know for themselves who they wanted GG to be until this season. normally it must be someone well known in the series, one of them. I just don´t believe it will be someone completely unknown.

    • strawberriesandtiaras says:

and me, too, I am missing a GG storyline. she really became really unimportant in contrast to series 1 and 2 and 3

    • `toomuchpurple says:

I really believe that it will be someone we know but that would be shocking to find out that she or he, is GG. At least that’s what the cast said in a recent set video about who GG is, some of them were surprised of who it was.

  5. grace says:

… And finally we’ll see what’s the deal with Bart Bass because i don’t know if he’s just a man trying to protect his son or if he’s a horrible person who wants to see Chuck being miserable.

    • Laura says:

i assume the last describes bart better..unfortunately

    • `toomuchpurple says:

A part of me wanted to believe Bart was protecting Chuck and that is why he hid and faked his death, but at this point, I don’t think he was and he is doing that. There must be something deeper, something that Bart didn’t tell anyone and that caused him to go. And he doesn’t want Chuck to find out about this and put him to jail, Bart is not tailored to be a father and he’d go to any lengths to keep his son away from the truth. His destiny is probably his way to redeem himself. Blah, I hope they deal with this thing right

  6. love&chairriage says:

Ok I really need some reassurance. Has anyone else read the eonline spoiler stating “In addition to said plane crash, we can confirm another crazy incident will occur…similar to a tragedy that happened early on during season 1 of Revenge. And it will happen to one of the 5 main characters.” Did I miss something?!?

    • `toomuchpurple says:

I think there is no need to worry. During S1 of Revenge one of the characters fell off a roof and if you’ve watched a set video of two months ago, you may know who does the same at the end of 6.09… it’s not an important character. I have never watched Revenge but I read that there was also a plane crash at some point, we saw Chuck getting on the jet in set pics, but I don’t think that something will happen to him. However, I believe others may think something has happened to him because there may still be a plane crash but he won’t be involved because he probably got off the plane before it would leave.

  7. love&chairriage says:

Okay. I do watch Revenge and there are so many tragedies in that show, it could be anything. I know about who is supposed to fall off the roof and I am sure you’re right about the plane crash. The spoiler just has me worried because it says one of the 5 main characters. The writers would be insane to kill one of them off, but then again we know they aren’t all that bright!

    • `toomuchpurple says:

Everyone is alive at the end 🙂 so I think the spoilers may be exaggerating again, or meaning that this death will affect one of the main characters but not directly.

  8. Katherine says:

Ok. My theory? Someone will have a dream that Bart falls from the roof and dies (Chuck, Blair, Lily or Bart?). Eventually it will be Bart, who will fly in the plane that will crash. (Chuck and Nate will go in another) This means that it will cover Chuck = one of the main characters. The last part will be in the style of 2×13. Funeral (or hear about Bart’s death), spontaneous but romantic wedding, there comes the police, because they want to talk to Chuck about the accident (maybe Chuck would be the last person to speak with Bart?), Blair will stand by Chuck, everything is resolved and is now only good happy ending. Even one thing came to my mind. In the last episode, Lily asked if anyone was hurt when Bart did the scam. And he thought for a moment and then said no It is possible that he would have lied? Maybe someone died (his business partner or someone innocent who got into the whole thing?). A family of the victim wanted revenge and arranged for the accident?
    It’s just my theory …
But it would be eventually possible?

    • `toomuchpurple says:

I know per various spoilers that half of your spec is right, and I’ll tell you which part. We know that Blair has a dream at the beginning of the episode, that should be a dream about the movie Charade because there were casting calls of people who had to be extras in a Charade game. The movie Charade features a fight on a roof… now it can be referred to the roof scene with CB and Bart, and possibly a third person. We also know for sure that Blair has to fly to Paris, there was a casting call saying Blair had a nightmare and was preparing her bags to leave in the day, but she was worried about her dream and was telling this to Dorota. We know for sure that Chuck is flying alone, not with Nate (Nate is supposed to be arrested at that point, per bts)… Nate getting out of the jet is probably for the season finale because he had the same suit he has in the flash forward set. There’s also a spoiler that says Sage, Serena will help Blair against Bart.

What I think may happen based on set pictures: C&B helped with Nate, Serena, Sage and Ivy, try to find out what is Bart hiding, but Bart is faster than them and corners Nate by getting him arrested, possibly exposing his problems with the investors and I don’t know, showing proof he did something punishable by the law (I think he may be helped by that man, Bruce, who was willing to help Nate by the end of 6.04). Chuck will be mad at Bart (there are set pics) probably after Nate gets arrested, and who knows maybe Chuck’s proof against him is not in NYC and he wants to use the jet to fly abroad, but Blair doesn’t want him to… maybe another plane crashes but everyone is afraid it might be Chuck’s, but he goes to the Fidi event at Wall Street at night so everything is right. Probably Bart threatens Blair, maybe Chuck saves her and that is the reason why they are on the roof, but they may not be alone. Is just so random and complex because we don’t know what leads things where they are.

Btw episode 6.10 starts right off 6.09 ends, with C&B trying to escape the crime scene and Georgina helping them hide (it was on a callsheet)… and they probably get married because you can’t testify against your spouse so Blair can’t testify against Chuck and blame him for what she witnessed at night on the roof. OFC C&B would the first people the police would look for because they’re probably the last two people who were seen on the rooftop before Bart fell off.
