Look who is returning in the Spring…

Uncle Jack is back!

Desmond Harrington has inked a deal to reprise his role as Chuck’s duplicitous Uncle Jack on Gossip Girl later this season, executive producer Josh Safran confirms to TVLine exclusively.

The Dexter regular made a cameo of sorts in Gossip Girl‘s fall finale when Jack’s voice was heard on the other end of a phone conversation with Liz Hurley’s Diana. This time, he’ll be returning in the flesh — and it sounds like he’ll be sticking around.

“He’ll be back for the last third of the season,” Safran reveals. “When Jack returns, he and Chuck are on good terms. Their story is more of a fun story than an antagonistic story. It’s really twisty and comic. And there might be some secrets that Jack will help Chuck to uncover.”

Gossip Girl returns from its holiday hiatus next Monday.

About purplebass

hey, you! Thank you for stopping by. I'm Tweety, and I am a girl who loves writing, reading, and watching stuff on TV and write reviews about it. I currently study languages (English and Spanish) @ University here where I live in Italy. I dream to become a teacher or something more impossible, like a writer. For the moment I only write stories on my laptop and review a lot of books. Speaking of which, I'm really into YA despite I am not a teenager anymore, and if you have suggestions, I am always open to hear your book advice! :D

A Bass family plot apparently without drama, Jack and Chuck in good terms and Jack helping Chuck to uncover a few secrets.

I don’t really care for him on the show, but if he must come back, I’m happy he and Chuck will be on good terms.. Another feud between those two would be too much same old same old..

I am so glad that Jack and Chuck are finally on good terms. All their drama and angst was just too much. LOL Glad to see the Bass Men will have a light, comic arc. I like Jack, so I am glad we get to see him being light for a change. 🙂
